Silversea’s Silver Shadow Begins Its Mediterranean Grand Voyage 2019

Silversea’s resplendent, all-suite Silver Shadow recently set sail from Barcelona on the cruise line’s 48-day Mediterranean Grand Voyage 2019. The voyage unlocked 39 destinations in nine countries for guests, as they journeyed closer to the breathtaking scenery and unique cultures of this storied region.

Guests on Silversea’s Mediterranean Grand Voyage 2019 enjoyed a bespoke Welcome Gala in the Garden Room of Barcelona’s Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I hotel, which comprised a sophisticated evening of cocktails, dinner and live jazz music. The second event, which was hosted in late June, was preceded by a scenic tour of the French Riviera and entailed an elegant dinner at Nice’s iconic Negresco Hotel. The third event will embrace authentic Greek culture with a Greek-themed evening of dinner and dancing at the Pleiades Restaurant in Patmos, Greece.

Throughout the course of this remarkable itinerary, a host of authentic local performances will enable the Grand Voyage’s guests to travel deeper into the various cultures of the Mediterranean from the superlative comfort of the ship. While in Barcelona, guests enjoyed an exhilarating onboard performance by Spanish flamenco artists. Musical ensembles are also set to grace Silver Shadow’s stage during calls in Kotor, Sorrento and Corsica.
