The Grand Class contains the largest number of Princess cruise ships. Comprised of eight ships, the class is also the most varied, with more evolved designs. Passenger numbers range from 2,600 on the older Grand Class ships to 3,080 on the newer additions.  Ships included in this class are the Caribbean Princess, Crown Princess, Diamond Princess, Emerald Princess, Grand Princess, Ruby Princess, Sapphire Princess, and Star Princess.

Fortunate travelers will appreciate the Caribbean Princess’ recent (May 2019) refurbishment, reflecting a multi-million-dollar array of luxurious enhancements. Diamond Princess might best be described as a Far Eastern treasure trove. This Far East ambience is splendidly reflected in cuisine such as freshly prepared sashimi in Kai Sushi, or in the luxurious Izumi Japanese Bath, the largest of its kind at sea.  The vessel features 1,337 beautifully apportioned cabins.

Destinations include Japan, Asia and South America/Antarctica.  The Diamond Princess is especially known for shore excursions throughout Japan and South America (e.g. Machu Picchu, Peru).

One’s culinary journey at sea reaches sumptuous new heights with a spectacular array of fresh restaurant choices and dining options aboard Emerald Princess. Revitalized top deck venues include the venerable Salty Dog Grill, Slice Pizzeria and Coffee & Cones, while also offering  brand new casual restaurants such as Steamers Seafood and Planks. Star Princess is the quintessential elegant midsize vessel.  It’s an ideal choice for older passengers who enjoy leisurely dinners and the numerous educational lectures that discuss topics such as local influences in the ship’s cuisine, etc.  From her relaxed ambience to tantalizing dining options (approximately 10 of them) and incredible features like the piazza-style Atrium, Movies Under the Stars and The Sanctuary (a tranquil retreat reserved for adults), guests will feel they are being indulged throughout the day.

Scheduled destinations for this elegant (1,297 cabins) vessel include Hawaii, the South Pacific, and the Mexican Riviera.
