Silversea Announces Exclusive 2024 World Cruise Events and Included Overland Programs

In addition to a Bon Voyage gala reception, dinner, overnight accommodation in San Francisco on the evening before departure, as well as a special farewell event upon the voyage’s conclusion, full World Cruise 2024 guests will enjoy an exclusive collection of once-in-a-lifetime special events and overland experiences, recapped as follows:

  • An Evening on the USS Missouri (Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii – January 21, 2024)
    Guests will step back into the past and celebrate history with their fellow travelers during an unforgettable event at the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor. A cordial  Hawaiian welcome and bespoke dinner in full view of this majestic icon of the seas, accompanied by nostalgic music of the 1940s, are among the highlights.
  • A Unique Night of Magic at Uluru (Darwin, Australia – March 8-9, 2024)
    In the heart of Australia is Uluru, a solitary mountain with desert stretching out away from it as far as the eye can see. During an included overland program to this spiritual center for the indigenous population, guests will be treated to a special cultural event, along with a memorable dinner and entertainment under one of the world’s starriest night skies. Round-trip air travel and an overnight at a luxury hotel are included.
  • Where Majestic Temples Meet (Semarang, Java, Indonesia – March 19-20, 2024)
    The Hindu temple of Prambanan and the Buddhist temple of Borobudur on Java, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, headline this included overland experience. An overnight at a luxury hotel in Yogyakarta offers the chance to see both impressive attractions, where guests will enjoy a sunset dinner event at Prambanan with the temples lit up magically at night, and a sunrise over the spectacular Temple of Borobudur the next day.
  • The Past and Future in Color (Shanghai, China – April 8, 2024)
    This unique multisensory dining experience, hosted in a secret location in Shanghai, features a special menu created just for Silversea guests by an award-winning chef. Guests will go on a culinary journey from old Shanghai to modern China, encompassed by color, sound, and scent, for a truly unforgettable evening.
  • A Night at the Russian Opera (Vladivostok, Russia – April 27, 2024)
    As guests take their seats in front of the stunning Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, they will be immediately transported to another time and place with a captivating performance in what is claimed to be the world’s northernmost opera house. Pre-show and intermission caviar and champagne will enrich the experience.
  • Russian Tradition in Korsakov (Korsakov, Russia – April 30, 2024)
    Cultures come together at this special event that will immerse guests in tradition and welcome them in true Russian style. Guests will discover local flavors and folklore, including a Cossack performance, and experience how western and eastern influences have shaped this remote corner of the world.

THE WORLD CRUISE COLLECTION AND OPTIONAL OVERLAND EXPERIENCES

As well as enjoying at least one free shore excursion in every port of call – more than 200 experiences in total – full world-cruising guests have exclusive access to a special selection of bespoke shore experiences, the World Cruise Collection. From Brisbane, guests will embark upon a full-day tour of Lady Elliot Island and the Southern Great Barrier Reef, witnessing the coral reef up close and swimming with an incredible array of marine life, including the island’s famous manta rays. From Ho Chi Minh City, travelers will gain exclusive access to Mr. Tran Hu Tuan’s famous fine art collection at a unique home in the city, which includes many valuable works of famous Vietnamese artists. From Petropavlovsk, guests will experience a magnificent helicopter ride over the remote Kamchatka Peninsula and its volcanic landscapes, traveling on to the Nalychevo valley to bathe in the area’s hot springs.

On top of the World Cruise’s two included overland programs in Uluru and Semarang, guests will have the option of joining additional overland experiences, including a five-day immersion into the most quintessential experiences of authentic New Zealand, from the vineyards of Waiheke Island to the geothermal pools of the Whakarewarewa Maori village; a five-day journey to the famous Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery and a unique cultural experience in Tibet; and a five-day venture to the remote Sheldon Chalet, perched on a spectacular nunatak in the Don Sheldon Amphitheater of Denali’s magnificent Ruth Glacier, among other unforgettable experiences.
