On February 1, 2022 Princess Cruises announced that guests sailing on Princess MedallionClass ships now have a contactless purchasing option that eliminates the need for cruisers to carry cash or credit cards into destinations on their cruise vacation. This represents a significant expansion of MedallionPay, the frictionless payment experience that lets guests use their Princess Medallion wearable device to shop, play, eat and drink, at merchant locations in ports of call in the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera as well as all Alaska ports of call.  Another benefit is 7% back on shoreside purchases as an onboard ship credit for the inaugural year.
