Oceania Allura’s Culinary Offerings: Oceania Cruises Unveils Its Next Evolution of Fine Dining at Sea Aboard Allura

And this time, they’re bringing a true culinary legend along for the journey. The Grand Dining Room aboard the brand-new Allura is set to unveil a spectacular menu of over 270 new recipes, a testament to the cruise line’s commitment to The Finest Cuisine at Sea®. And at the heart of it all? None other than the iconic Jacques Pépin.

A founding father of Oceania Cruises’ culinary philosophy

And its first-ever Executive Culinary Director, Pépin has long been the guiding force behind the line’s gastronomic excellence. His signature French restaurant, Jacques, already beloved on Marina and Riviera, will make its debut on Allura when the ship launches this July. It’s a full-circle moment for the legendary chef, whose passion for French cuisine has shaped the very soul of Oceania’s menus.

Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, couldn’t be more thrilled: “Jacques is our culinary patriarch. His creativity and expertise are woven into everything we do. Bringing his namesake restaurant to Allura and later to Vista is an incredible milestone for us.”

The Grand Dining Room…

Oceania’s open-seating flagship restaurant, will showcase dishes that blend Pépin’s signature style with fresh, modern techniques. Expect elevated classics like a perfectly executed Beef Wellington with Shiraz reduction and truffle mashed potatoes, and a chermoula butter-roasted Maine lobster that will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about seafood. Breakfast will feature a dazzling new Eggs Benedict section, while lunch takes a detour to a Parisian bistro with dishes inspired by Chef Pépin’s lifelong love of French comfort food.

But it’s not just about tradition—there’s innovation at play too.

Oceania’s two Executive Culinary Directors, Master Chefs of France Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, are collaborating with Pépin to bring a new vibrancy to the menus. “I’m so excited to write the next chapter of Jacques with my dear friends and colleagues,” Pépin shares. “This is the perfect opportunity to experiment with some delicious new dishes and reimagine the classics our guests adore.”

Guests aboard Allura can look forward to tableside service for a selection of show-stopping dishes, a nod to the golden age of fine dining. The art of l’art de la table—where every plate, glass, and piece of silverware is as thoughtfully chosen as the food itself—will be on full display. And for those with a sweet tooth, desserts like Crêpes Suzette and profiteroles will round out the experience, offering a perfect balance of nostalgia and indulgence.

Del Rio puts it best: “Allura represents our future, but also our heritage. With Jacques at the helm of our culinary evolution, we continue to honor the traditions that have made Oceania Cruises the ultimate experience for food lovers.”
