Base Camp is a part of Holland America’s enhancement program at the 60-acre McKinley Chalet Resort and will serve as a lovely new gathering area to relax, shop and dine. Included in the development plan is a two-story, 7,800-square-foot restaurant, yet to be named.
Live music will be available at the Gold Nugget Saloon, home to the “Music of Denali Dinner Theater,” which turns into a bar and music venue after the show. Another exciting feature will be the amphitheater at the center of camp for with guests to enjoy a variety of local shows. And to better explore the natural beauty, walking paths in and around Base Camp will show off the property’s beautiful setting, located just across the Nenana River from Denali National Park.
